The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun has assured members of the Association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries in the State that the only way to pay them back for their support and selfless service to the State was to serve well and make the Civil/Public Service an enviable one.

In a release issued by Passover Adeshina
Press Officer, Office of the HoS, said Mr. Fagbohun who stated this as the Special Guest during the 2023 first general meeting of the Association, held at the Obas’ Complex Conference Hall, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, said, he would continue to build on the foundation laid by these forebears.

He said that the service is currently working on improving the Public Service Rules, poor attitude of some workers to their jobs, and promised to continue to make his line of communication open, with a call upon the Association to get in touch, when the need arises.

” I want to thank you all for your support over the years, for not abandoning the Service. The only way I can pay back is to serve you well and better. We will continue to build on the foundation you have laid and your legacies in Ogun Civil Service will forever be remembered” the HoS said.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Association, Engr. Adeniyi Abiola, appreciated the presence of the new Head of Service at their meeting which he said would continue to energise them to do more for the Service and the State in general.

Also speaking, an Elderstateman, Chief Oluneye Okuboyejo, while appreciating the Head of Service for attending the meeting said their challenges would be personally felt with a plea on him to sustain such attendance as the task to keep moving the government forward is a joint one and added that if not properly done, things will not work out well.

Highlight of the meeting was observance of one-minute silence for departed members.

In attendance were past Heads of Service including Surveyor Godwin Ogun, Elder Sola Adeyemi, Tpl. Amope Chokor and Alhaja Selimot Ottun.
