He stated this in Enugu State at the weekend while inspecting some ongoing roads projects in the zone. These were Onitsha/Enugu, Enugu/Abakaliki expressway projects which have gone advanced stage.

The minister added that the region which is now on the rise under president Tinubu’s led administration was over the years neglected.

He stressed that the projects Mr. President has executed and still executing in the zone are very visible, tangible and durable.

Umahi however called on the people of the zone to vote in mass for the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027.

He insisted that the region and Nigerians at large would have more things to gain from Mr. President’s second tenure administration, if elected.

According to him, “South East is on the rise courtesy of President Tinubu’s numerous executed and ongoing roads projects and we are grateful to Mr. President.

“And we the south east region will return the outstanding gestures in 2027 by voting for President Tinubu’s second tenure administration.

“Go and see what Mr. President have done, they are very visible, tangible and durable, we are seeing it, we are being counted and we will never go back again,”he stated.

The minister opined that no amount of hate speech or criticisms can assuage the great work the President has done for the people of South East.

“Again, to the South East people, when I went on this road driving myself since today, I have every reason to be bolder and to tell our people boldly that the President has done quite a lot for us.

“And today, we are not the last among six geopolitical zones. We may not be the first but the quality of what Mr. President is doing, is a quality that will continue to speak for him and have reposition us.

“And we the South East people, we henceforth continue praying and supporting Mr. President and appreciating him for the good works he is doing not only for south east but for Nigerians.

“And, I want to say also that the people of South East region and Nigerians have more to gain from Mr. President if elected, and this time around we must be wise”,he insisted.

The projects inspected by the minister including the Emene fly over in Enugu route to Abakaliki highway and the channel Zero.

The two Flyover projects ongoing were designed to easy heavy traffic along the Enugu-Abakaliki.
