The statement noted that the late journalist would be remembered for his distinguished career, which spanned reputable media outfits, including The Nation, National Mirror, The Comet, News Express, The Verbatim and, until his sudden demise, the Press Secretary to the Managing Director of Niger Delta Basin Development Authority (NDBDA).

The UCC statement further described Ombe as a passionate media practitioner who carried out his job with integrity, truth, and professionalism.
