The Budding Leaders Empowerment Initiative (BUDLEIN) spread festive cheer and renewed optimism across Isoko community in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State as it hosted the 2025 edition of its annual Rural Christmas outreach on December 10.

The event, themed “Growing Joy and Sharing Blessings at Christmas,” reaffirmed BUDLEIN’s commitment to promoting education, empowerment, and communal support within rural communities.

Addressing children, parents, and community members, the Executive Director of BUDLEIN, Prof. Iyabode Kehinde, restated the organisation’s long-term dedication to Isoko, one of its adopted intervention villages. She highlighted the progress of the initiative’s educational support programmes, noting that two children have already gained placement in reputable boarding secondary schools, while four others are currently enrolled as day students through the Fund an Indigent Child scheme.

Prof. Kehinde urged parents to remain devoted to their children’s education, stressing that learning remains one of the strongest tools for lifting families out of poverty, transforming communities, and contributing to national development. She expressed confidence that many beneficiaries would advance to higher education and ultimately return to contribute to the growth of their community.

She also extended appreciation to volunteers, staff, parents, teachers, and supporters whose efforts contributed to the success of the 2025 Rural Christmas outreach.

This year’s edition delivered an even more vibrant celebration, featuring expanded gift distributions, fun activities for children, and shared moments of joy that residents described as deeply memorable.

As BUDLEIN and Isoko community look ahead to a promising new year, the organisation wished all Nigerians a joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
