Rabiu Ibrahim, special assistant on media to Mohammed Idris, minister of information and national orientation, said Vice-President Kashim Shettima will lead a delegation of cabinet ministers to the prayer session.

Ibrahim noted that the expanded FEC session will be attended by key government figures, including the leadership of the national assembly, the judiciary, and representatives of Buhari’s family.

He added that a special prayer session would be held at the National Mosque, Abuja, on Friday, July 18, while a special church service is scheduled for Sunday, July 20.

The special FEC meeting was initially postponed due to a clash with the state funeral for Buhari, which was held on Tuesday, July 14, in Daura, Katsina state.
