Wilson who stated this on the rumoured defection of DIri to the All Progressives Congress, APC said it’s a welcome development.

He cited the case of the Akwa Ibom State Governor who recently defected from the PDP to the APC which is yielding dividends as the federal government has started the deep seaport and other development projects in the state.

Pastor Reuben Wilson who is also a member of the Governing Council at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, highlighted potential benefits of Governor Douye Diri’s possible defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying that the Federal Government’s potential takeover of Bayelsa’s multi-billion Naira projects could free up state funds for other development initiatives, ultimately benefiting the state.

He added that those disgruntled politicians forming a coalition intending to unseat Mr. President should rather join forces with him considering the development strides of the present administration, insisting that no gang up against Tinubu will succeed.

He dismissed the possibility of the ADC coalition making meaningful impact ahead of the 2027 general elections and vowed to mobilsed to ensure that the votes that will be declared come 2027 will surpass that of 2023.

Wilson predicted that with Governor Diri’s defection, APC would have a strong foothold in Bayelsa State, potentially leading to a convincing win in the 2027 elections.
