Lokpobiri Stresses African Unity In Addressing Continent’s Energy Needs

Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, Ph.D., emphasized the importance of African unity in addressing energy deficiencies while opening the Nigerian Exhibition Pavilion at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, Texas, USA.

Under the theme “Africa’s Energy Renaissance: Leveraging Innovation and Natural Gas for Sustainable Development,” Senator Lokpobiri commended the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) for consistently ensuring Nigeria’s presence at the OTC.

He encouraged other Nigerian companies and African counterparts to participate in future editions to strengthen the African platform for sustainable energy growth.

Senator Lokpobiri expressed gratitude to the Nigerian contingent and representatives from other African Petroleum Producers Organization (APPO) member nations, particularly Ghana, for showcasing at the Nigerian Pavilion.

He emphasized that collective support and collaboration would effectively address Africa’s energy challenges, promoting sustainable development and energy growth.

Senator Lokpobiri praised APPO’s vision and leadership in driving Africa’s energy renaissance, noting that the organization is on track to making a significant impact.
