Nigerian midfielder Ikenna Cooper has officially joined Lincoln Red Imps FC, the most successful Football Club in Gibraltar.

The former FC Ifeanyi Ubah man made the transition to the Red Imps after concluding his contract with Enyimba International FC at the end of the previous season.

The signing was announced on Lincoln Red Imps’ official Facebook page, where the club expressed enthusiasm about bringing the skilled midfielder on board. Cooper, who is primarily a defensive midfielder, is anticipated to enhance the team’s midfield capabilities as they strive to uphold their supremacy in the Gibraltar National League.

This move to Europe represents a pivotal moment in Cooper’s career, offering him a platform to display his talents in a new environment.

During his time at Enyimba, one of Nigeria’s top Football Clubs, he earned recognition for his strong defensive skills and versatility in midfield.

Lincoln Red Imps, celebrated for their domestic achievements and involvement in European tournaments, are hopeful that Cooper’s arrival will improve their squad depth and overall performance in the forthcoming games

The Club has a tradition of incorporating International Players, and Cooper’s signing is in line with their objective to enhance the team with a variety of skill sets.
