Nweze made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen to mark the independent anniversary celebration of Nigeria at 64 and creation of Ebonyi State at 28.

The statement reads in part: “With great sense of honour and privilege, I, heartily felicitate with our dear pragmatic, transformational and visionary leaders, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, on the auspicious occasion of the celebration of Nigeria at 64 and Ebonyi at 28.

“I am delighted to convey my heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who through his renewed Hope agenda mantra is addressing the developmental challenges faced by the South East region of Nigeria, and that has been manifested in his administration’s numerous programs/ interventions targeted to promote economic growth, infrastructure development, and social welfare in the region.

“The landmark achievement so far recorded in the country, especially in the south east region is a testimony that you have come to serve the people with your wealth of experience, strength and wisdom which of course is founded on the mantra of ‘renewed Hope agenda’.

“The recent assent to the South-East Development Commission Bill (SEDC) and other valuable life touching programs, represents a significant stride towards addressing historical disparities and promoting inclusivity which would engender greater sense of belonging to the Nigerian project among the southeastern populace.

“In the same vein, I make bold to specially salute the great achiever per excellence and welfarist governor of Ebonyi state, His Excellency, Francis Nwifuru, the capacity minister of works, Father of Modern Ebonyi State and former governor of Ebonyi State David Umahi, the National Assembly Members and host of other prominent stakeholders of the SouthEast region, as we mark the independent anniversary of Nigeria at 64 and creation of Ebonyi State” she said.
