Yewa Muslim Community has described the coming on board of the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount ruler of Yewa land, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle as the new Chairman of Ogun State Council of Obas as a reflection of Oba Olugbenle’s exemplary dedication and leadership acumen.

The Yewa Muslim Community said it commended the decision by the Governor , Prince Dapo Abiodun to appoint Oba Olugbenle as the Ogun State Council of Obas, describing it as a progressive step towards the continuous development and unity of the State.

The community in a statement issued by the General Secretary, Alh. Nurudeen Bola Adesina, described the appointment as a reflection of Oba Olugbenle’s exemplary dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the advancement of Yewaland and Ogun State.

While reacting to the appointment, the religious body in Yewa land said the honour bestowed upon the monarch underscores the significant respect and admiration he commands from both the government and the populace.

The statement read that Oba Olugbenle has been a transformative leader in Yewaland, fostering substantial progress in critical areas such as education, infrastructure, and community development.

According to the Muslim community, Oba Olugbenle’s leadership has consistently promoted unity and progress, bringing about positive changes within the community.

“This esteemed appointment is a testament to Oba Olugbenle’s unwavering dedication, remarkable leadership, and tireless commitment to the welfare and development of the people of Yewaland and Ogun State at large. It reflects the high regard in which he is held by the government and the people.

“Under Oba Olugbenle’s visionary leadership, Yewaland has witnessed significant progress in various sectors, including education, infrastructure, and community development. His deep-rooted commitment to fostering unity and progress has consistently brought positive changes to our community.

“As Chairman of the Council of Obas, we are confident that Oba Olugbenle will bring his wealth of experience, wisdom, and integrity to the fore, working collaboratively with other esteemed traditional rulers to promote peace, unity, and socio-economic development across Ogun State. His leadership will undoubtedly strengthen the cultural values that form the bedrock of our society.

“The Yewa Muslim Community pledges its full support to Oba Olugbenle in his new role. We are optimistic that his tenure will be marked by significant achievements and contributions that will benefit not only the traditional institution but also the entire state.
