The Giant Wise Men of Yewa Land (G-15) have congratulated the newly installed Onisale of Isale Gbokoto, HRM Oba Tajudeen Olukunle, on his ascension to the traditional throne of his forefathers.
In a statement issued on Saturday and made available to journalists, the group described the monarch’s installation as a historic moment and a blessing to the people of Isale Gbokoto and the wider Yewa community.
The statement was released by the Secretary of the group, Akinyemi Michael, popularly known as “No. 2,” and jointly signed by the President of the association, Idowu Ayomide Joseph, also known as Olori Odo of Oja-Odan Land.
According to the group, the emergence of Oba Olukunle as the traditional ruler of Isale Gbokoto is expected to usher in a new era of development, unity and progress across the community.
The G-15 noted that the monarch had, even before his installation, made notable contributions to the growth and development of Isale Gbokoto and its surrounding communities.
They expressed confidence that his reign would further accelerate development not only in Gbokoto but also across Yewa North Local Government Area, Ogun State, and the country at large.
The group described the royal father as a leader endowed with humility, compassion and a wealth of experience, qualities they believe would positively impact the administration of the traditional institution.
“We believe that Kabiyesi will bring his wealth of experience, humility and compassion to bear in the service of Isale Gbokoto and its environs,” the statement read.
The association also offered prayers for the monarch, asking God to grant him wisdom, good health and a long, peaceful reign on the throne of his forefathers.
“We are delighted to witness this historic moment and congratulate Your Royal Majesty on your installation as the Onisale of Isale Gbokoto,” the group stated.
They further prayed that the throne would continue to flourish under his leadership while bringing prosperity and unity to the people of the land.
“Kabiyesi, we pray that Almighty God will guide and protect you, grant you long life and enable you to render greater service to our fatherland,” the group added.
The G-15 also noted that members of the association joined millions of sons and daughters of Isale Gbokoto at home and in the diaspora, as well as friends and well-wishers, in celebrating the monarch’s installation.
They expressed optimism that the reign of Oba Olukunle would mark the beginning of renewed cultural pride, social harmony and accelerated development in the community.
The group reiterated its commitment to supporting initiatives that would advance peace, unity and socio-economic progress in Yewa land.
The statement concluded with warm felicitations to the monarch and the people of Isale Gbokoto on what it described as the dawn of a promising new era under the leadership of the newly installed traditional ruler.
