Benue State Governor Rev.Fr Hyacinth Alia has pledged to launch new security outfit consisting of Ten thousand youths to complement other conventional law enforcement agencies alongside other existing Benue vigilante Guards BVGS as well as Benue Livestock Guards in the State.
The Catholic priest stated the purpose is guaranteed adequate protection to ives and properties as farming season approaches.
He seized the occasion to appreciate efforts of president Ahmed Bola Tinubu in his commitment in fighting insecurity noting his tremendous support to curtailed the menace challenge even in Benue State where were enjoying relative peace now.
Governor Alia made this disclosure during expanded caucaus stakeholders meeting held on yesterday at Benue Government house in Makurdi. Benue capital city.
Rev Fr Alia further implored the launch of new security outfit Will take place in May 2024 informing it’s personel consequently would be deployed comprising the twenty three LGAS of the state.
