Ebonyi Gov. Call On NURTW,, Mass Transit Owners To Retrain Drivers To Avoid Road Crashes On Yuletide Season

The Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru Ogbonna has called on the leadership of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW and the Association of Mass Transit Owners, AMTO to ensure training and retraining of their drivers to avoid road crashes for ahead of yuletide season
The Governor made the call while playing host to the NURTW and AMTO in his Office in Abakaliki on Friday.
The Governor who attributed most of the carnages on the road to negligence and careless on the side of some Drivers called for reorientation bearing in mind the sanctity of human lives
Governor Nwifuru also warned Drivers against drunk driving and recklessness in order not to endanger the lives of commuters.
Earlier, the delegations led by Mr. Chukwuma Mbam for NURTW and Chief Augustine Nwankwegu for AMTO pledged to continue to support the Governor Nwifuru led administration in the State to enable him achieve his plans for Ebonyi people.
The Governor was joined in receiving the visitors by the Deputy Governor, Princess Patricia Obila and top Government functionaries.
