14 suspected land grabbers nabbed in Ibafo
The Ibafo Police Division has arrested 14 members of the land-grabbing syndicate who were planning to invade Ibafo and Mowe in the Obafemi Owode Local Government area of Ogun State.
Their arrest followed a distress call received by the police that some suspected land grabbers were planning to attack landowners and take possession of their lands with force.
Upon the distress call, Ibafo Police Division mobilised their men to the hotel, Datmond where the suspects lodged and arrested them.
The suspects arrested were Teriba from Ikorodu, Dada Doyin, Emesi Berger, Jamiu Makinde and others.
The report has it that the suspects were arrested with various charms, cutlasses pistols and other dangerous weapons.
It was further gathered that the suspects who are in the custody of the Ibafo Police Division will be taken to the Ogun Police command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta
