The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun has called on all stakeholders to pay critical attention to issue of unemployment in the society by channeling all their creativities into the provision of employment opportunities for the citizens.

Mr. Fagbohun stated this when the Local Organising Committee of the Ogun State Employment Conference led by its Chairman, who doubles as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Olu. Ola. Aikulola, paid him a visit in his office at Oke Mosan.

The Head of Service who said the private sector must collaborate with the state government to ensure that all the skillful graduates are accommodated, otherwise the crime rate would continue to be high, added that the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun on assumption of office established a job portal to provide job opportunities for unemployed youths in the State.

He solicited the establishment of Finishing/Polishing Schools for specific skills for the graduates after the workshop, as this would enable them to be more vast and marketable to the private sectors, considering the fact that the Civil/Public Service is saturated already.

“After the workshop, create a Finishing/ Polishing Schools for specific skills for these graduates as these would prepare them well for tasks ahead”, the HoS said.
