Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has sent encouraging words to plus-sized women as she speaks about her weight-loss journey.
Sharing before and after photos of herself, Eniola stated that being fat isn’t the problem, but hating and doubting oneself is. She said that a person’s size has never cancelled out their worth, as they can be confident, successful, loved, admired, and unstoppable at any size.

Eniola shared that her weight-loss journey taught her one powerful thing: that transformation starts in the mind. She said she didn’t wake up one day different; she made small, consistent decisions.
She admonished anyone on a journey to be patient with themselves, as confidence isn’t a size but an attitude.
Eniola Badmus says being fat isn’t the problem
“I need you to hear this from me….being ‘fat’ is not the problem. Hating yourself is. Doubting yourself is believing you’re not enough. That’s the real struggle.
Your size has never cancelled your worth. You can be confident, successful, loved, admired, and unstoppable at any size. And if you choose to lose weight, let it be from a place of love….not shame. Let it be because you want to feel healthier, stronger, and happier… not because the world told you to shrink.
My weight-loss journey has taught me one powerful lesson: transformation starts in the mind. I didn’t wake up one day different….I made small, consistent decisions. And guess what? You can too. If I can do it, you can absolutely do it.
But listen carefully….even before the weight changes, you must love the body you’re in right now. Respect it. Thank it. Celebrate it. This body has carried you through so much. Don’t insult it.
If you’re on a journey, be patient with yourself. If you’re not, still walk boldly. Confidence is not a size; it’s an attitude.
And to everyone who has supported and celebrated my journey so far… I see you. I appreciate you. Your love means everything to me. Thank you for growing with me.
Let’s keep becoming better….not because we hate who we are, but because we love ourselves enough to evolve”.
Eniola Badmus says being fat isn’t the problem
Last year, while sharing photos of her slimmer look, Badmus spoke about her growth. Eniola stated that she stands in a better state, with a renewed mindset and a heart overflowing with gratitude.
In a previous post, Badmus had celebrated her weight journey, revealing that one of her greatest testimonies is her health journey, as she went from 170kg to 90kg. She stated that her weight loss was nothing short of God’s excellence in her life as she now breathes better, sleeps better, eats clean, and lives lighter.
In April, Badmus admitted that there are days she misses her old body. She stated there was comfort in her old body and a sense of identity that she never had to question. However, when she looks at her new body, she sees growth physically and emotionally.
Recall that in 2022, Eniola broke the internet with her transformation body and her glamorous look to the AMVCA, where she was the subject of discussion for days.
Speaking out, Eniola disclosed that her epic transformation was not an easy journey as many portrayed it to be, stating her eyes had seen all.
In an interview with City People, she opened up on why she went for gastric bypass surgery in Turkey, revealing that it was to control her eating habits.
