A 35-year-old man has set his parents’ house on fire after his father refused to give him money.

A Facebook user, Eric Mboya disclosed this on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

“The man claims that his father doesn’t give him enough money.

On Friday, he asked for Ksh 5000 to go out and enjoy with friends, his father told him hana.

He went and came with petrol which he used kuchoma nyumba. He lives in the same house that alichoma.”

The incident comes barely two weeks after a 40-year-old man burned down his parents’ home in Thunguma village, Nyeri County after his mother refused to give him Sh100.
