British adult content creator Bonnie Blue has been fined and barred from entering Indonesia for at least 10 years following her arrest in Bali over traffic and immigration-related offences.

The 26-year-old, whose real name is Tia Billinger, was convicted by a court in Denpasar for breaching traffic regulations and ordered to pay a fine of 200,000 Indonesian rupiah, equivalent to about £9. The court ruled that failure to pay the fine could have resulted in a jail term.

Authorities said the blue pickup truck purchased by Billinger and dubbed the “Bangbus” was licensed strictly for the transportation of goods but was instead used to convey passengers, contrary to Indonesian traffic laws. One of the British men accompanying her was also cited for driving without a valid international driving licence.

Billinger was arrested while touring the popular holiday island in the vehicle alongside two British nationals and an Australian citizen. She appeared before the Denpasar District Court with the three men and was later released after complying with legal requirements.

Although the court fine was limited to traffic offences, Indonesian authorities disclosed that Billinger had earlier been under investigation for alleged violations bordering on pornography and misuse of her tourist visa. Police confirmed that officers had raided a property where content involving several foreign tourists was being recorded.

A police spokesperson told local media outlet Kumparan News that investigations found no explicit pornographic activity during the raid. However, authorities maintained that the content creation itself breached visa conditions.

At a press briefing in Badung, police announced that beyond the fine, Billinger and members of her team had been blacklisted from entering Indonesia for a minimum of 10 years, with the possibility of an extension.

Badung Police Chief Arif Batubara said Billinger had entered Bali on a tourist visa, which strictly prohibits commercial or content-creation activities. “While in Bali, she was supposed to be travelling, but instead she was creating content,” he said.

Immigration chief Heru Winarko added that Indonesia maintains strict laws regulating visitor conduct, especially concerning content creation and public morality. “They will be blacklisted from entering Indonesia for at least 10 years, and this period may be extended,” he stated.

Indonesia enforces stringent regulations against the creation, distribution or public display of pornographic material, with severe penalties for violations, particularly where immigration rules are breached.
