The Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) authority in the Essien Region, under the leadership of the Regional Superintendent, Pastor Olu Eiyebiokin, has formally inducted Pastor Isaac Oladimeji Ayeni as the third substantive District Superintendent of CAC Oke-Alaafia District Headquarters in the Sanni area of Abeokuta.

The induction service, held on Saturday, was presided over by the Holy Ghost District Zonal Superintendent, Pastor Samuel Olatunde, and attended by clergy and church leaders from across the country.

Delivering a sermon titled “The Cost of Discipleship”, Pastor Olatunde drew from 1 Kings 19:19–21, urging Christians to deepen their knowledge of God and serve Him with diligence and sincerity. He likened Pastor Ayeni’s journey of service and sacrifice to that of the biblical Elisha, noting that the newly inducted District Superintendent had demonstrated commitment and humility throughout his ministerial career.

Pastor Olatunde charged Ayeni to approach his new role with renewed dedication, describing the office as a higher calling to serve both God and the church community.

Until his redeployment to Oke-Alaafia as Protem District Superintendent in 2022, Pastor Ayeni served as the curate of the CAC Holy Ghost DCC Headquarters.

Speaking at the event, the Secretary of the Planning Committee and Chairman of the Council of Elders and Deaconesses, Elder Taiwo Oyetunji, expressed gratitude to God for sustaining the church through challenging times. He declared that “the storm is over,” adding that the district had regained its rightful place within the Holy Ghost Zone and the Essien Region.

Oyetunji encouraged members to strengthen their personal relationship with God, emphasizing that their service should be directed toward God rather than individual pastors.
