The grand event, held at the Five Palm Event Centre, Oniru, Lekki, Lagos, was a convergence of royalty, business magnates, high-ranking chiefs, and dignitaries from across Nigeria and beyond. Guests gathered in splendour to celebrate the union of two noble lineages; the Adeyemi and Adeoye royal families whose names are steeped in the rich cultural traditions of Ijebuland.

The Ijebu people are renowned for their deep sense of heritage, pride, and honour, and this occasion was a resounding testament to those values.

The ceremony, which lasted over seven hours, reflected the beauty and dignity of Ijebu royalty; marked by traditional music, resplendent attire, and heartfelt blessings.

Prince Adewale Oriola Adeyemi is the grandson of the late Prince Fasasi Adebisi Adeyemi (Obanlefa), who served as the Olori-Ebi of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House between 1988 and 2013 in Ijebu-Ode.

His bride, Princess Temilade Remi Adeoye, is the daughter of the late Oba Aderemi Adeoye, the first Lamuren of Oke-Lamuren in Ijebu; a revered monarch remembered for his commitment to unity, development, and cultural preservation.

Speaking at the event, Prince Adeleke Adeyemi, a member of the Olufadi royal family, described the marriage as a divine continuation of royal heritage and blessing.

“The couple represents the true essence of Ijebu royalty. Both were born and raised in noble families that value tradition, honour, and service. Their union is not just a celebration of love, but an extension of our royal legacy that will continue through their children.”

The groom, Prince Adewale Oriola, expressed his profound joy, describing his new wife as a “virtuous royal woman” who completes his world.

“As a proud son of Ijebuland, I sought God’s direction to find a partner who shares my heritage and values. Princess Temilade embodies grace, humility, and strength; a perfect reflection of royal womanhood. Together, we pray that our home continues to radiate love, peace, and royal blessings.”

The couple’s union stands as a beautiful blend of tradition and modern elegance-celebrating not only love but also the enduring prestige of Ijebu royalty. Their love story continues to inspire many as they embark on this noble journey together, hand in hand, as Prince and Princess of a proud royal lineage.
