Stakeholders of Epie and Atissa clans in Yenagoa Constituency One, Bayelsa State, have unanimously resigned their membership from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in support of Governor Douye Diri’s recent decision.

The member representing Yenagoa Constituency One in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Ayebanegiafa Egba, reaffirmed the stakeholders’ support for Governor Diri, praising his leadership and vision for the state.

Hon. Egba highlighted the numerous development projects underway in his constituency, including the construction of houses in the New Yenagoa area, the Agbura road, and the Akaba-Okordi road.as well other development projects which cuts accros all sectors of the economy.

The lawmaker emphasized that the people of Epie/Atissa have benefited significantly from the governor’s development agenda, citing improved infrastructure, housing, and economic opportunities.

She expressed his commitment to supporting the governor’s administration and contributing to the state’s development.

Other stakeholders, including Hon. Timothy Itedu, Chairman Bayelsa State Environmental Sanitation Board, and Hon. Mandy Akpalo, Commissioner for Special Duties, Bayelsa Central, also expressed their solidarity with Governor Diri, noting that his leadership has brought peace and unprecedented development to the state.

The meeting was attended by prominent stakeholders, including Dr. Faith Zibs-Godwin, Commissioner for Marine and Blue Economy, Hon. Lekky Tanana, immediate Past Chairman Bayelsa State Housing and Property Development Authority, and Chief Lambert Ototo, Chairman Bayelsa State Local Government Service Commission as well as other stakeholders.
