The leadership of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural association, has suspended the association’s branch chairmen of Taraba, Bauchi, and Adamawa States with immediate effect.

This is contained in a statement signed by Mallam Mohammed Suleiman, National Public Relations Officer of the association, and made available to newsmen in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State on Thursday.

According to Suleiman, the leadership of the association, under Alhaji Abdullahi Bodejo, took the decision after careful investigation and consideration of a series of complaints by Fulani pastoralists in the affected states expressing bitter disappointment with the leadership of the respective state chairmen.

“After thorough scrutiny and consideration of numerous complaints from Fulani pastoralists, the National President has suspended the following state chairmen: Bammi Bello Jane of Taraba, Muhammed Hussaini Buzaye of Bauchi, and Usman Abubakar Yirlabe of Adamawa State chapters, effective immediately,” he said.

Suleiman noted that the complaints alleged poor performance, lack of representation, and neglect of members’ welfare.

“After careful consideration and thorough scrutiny, the National President determined that the suspensions were necessary to restore the trust and confidence of the members.

He added that the National President then called upon all relevant security authorities and stakeholders to desist from working with the suspended chairmen, as they are no longer authorised to represent the association or hold any leadership positions.

“We urge all members and stakeholders to recognise and respect this decision. The association warns that any attempts by the suspended chairmen to parade themselves as members or leaders of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani Socio-Cultural Association will be met with prosecution according to the law.

“We will not tolerate any actions that may bring the association into disrepute or undermine its integrity,” he noted.

Suleiman also pointed out that the National President reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare and well-being of all members and assured them that the association will continue to work tirelessly to promote the interests and needs of Fulani pastoralists across the country.
