The Federal Lawmaker representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, Rt. Hon. Comrade Chinedu Ogah OON, joined members of the Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru Youth Movement for a voter sensitization exercise and the official inauguration of FON Ward Leaders in Ikwo Local Government Area.

The event, held at the Ikwo Council Headquarters in Onuebonyi Echara, attracted several dignitaries, including the Executive Chairman of Ikwo LGA, Hon. Barr. Sunday Nwankwo, FON Ward Leaders, and numerous Senior and Special Assistants to the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State. Also present were Commissioners, political aides from Ebonyi Central, party loyalists, and other advocates of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s visionary leadership.

In his address, Hon. Ogah commended Governor Nwifuru for his inclusive and youth-oriented governance. He praised the governor for entrusting young people with key roles in government through strategic appointments and empowerment programs, describing his leadership as progressive, people-focused, and worthy of emulation.

The lawmaker urged all eligible citizens to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise by obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), emphasizing that it is the most vital tool for sustaining the developmental momentum under the current administration.

“Your PVC is your power,” Ogah declared. “It is the most effective way to reciprocate the love and opportunities His Excellency, Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has extended to the youth and the entire people of Ebonyi State. Let us be prepared to re-elect him for a second term to continue this good work.”

Hon. Ogah also made a passionate appeal to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deploy more voter registration machines to Ikwo Local Government Area, citing the area’s size and population. He stressed that one machine is insufficient for effective voter registration and called for the establishment of additional registration points to ensure a smooth and inclusive electoral process.

“Ikwo is too large for just one machine. I urge INEC to release more machines and designate multiple registration points to accommodate the large number of prospective voters. This is essential to ensure an efficient and fair electoral process,” he said.

He further called on party members and supporters to remain committed and united in mobilizing grassroots support for the governor’s re-election, describing it as a collective responsibility toward securing a brighter future for Ebonyi State and Nigeria at large.
