The Founder and CEO of EduEreGirls Support Organization, Elizabeth A.J Tarila-Jack, has promised to continue to provide educational support to girls and bridge the gender inequality gap in education.
According to Tarila-Jack the organization since its inception in 2016, has made significant impact in the lives of many Nigerians, asserting that the organization has supported numerous girls and boys in gaining access to education, from primary to university level.
She noted that additionally, the NGO has provided skills training in areas such as tailoring, event planning, makeup, catering etc.
She highlighted the organization’s partnership with Do Foundation, which shares a similar vision of empowering girls and promoting their education.
Speaking at a women sensitization event organized by Do Foundation in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, the founder of EduEreGirls Sopport Organization hinted that the theme of the event, “One Woman for Another Woman and One Girl for Another Girl,” resonates with Eduere’s mission of supporting girls to achieve financial and moral empowerment.
The founder identified one of the major challenges facing the organization as the need for more resources to support girls with special educational needs.
Tarila-Jack noted that in the next two years, the NGO aims to empower more girls with special needs, ensuring they have access to the right resources and support to achieve their full potential.
She emphasized the importance of acceptance and inclusivity in society and urged parents and the community to accept and support individuals with disabilities, recognizing that they have skills and intelligence that can benefit society.
She also highlighted the need for accessible infrastructure and social amenities to facilitate the inclusion of people with disabilities.
Through its work, EduEreGirls Support Organization is making a positive impact in the lives of many young people, particularly girls, in Nigeria, with the support of partners like Do Foundation, the organization is poised to achieve even more in the years to come.
