How I launched Myself Into Acting career – Prophet Baruwa Emmanuel Olatunde

Prophet Baruwa Emmanuel Olatunde has shared the inspiring story of how he began his journey in Nollywood, acknowledging Ogun TAMPAN Governor, Owolabi Ajasa, Emmanuel Adejumo, Baba Sala’s Son and others for giving him a breakthrough despite having no personal connections in the industry.

Speaking with Our Correspondent, Prophet Baruwa Emmanuel, who by calling is also a shepherd in the vineyard of the Lord, recounted his journey from his days as a student while still in secondary school.

He revealed that his passion for the arts was evident early on, as he actively participated in acting while in Secondary School, a move that set the foundation for his acting career.

Name and Background

My name is Prophet Baruwa Emmanuel Olatunde. I attended C.K.C primary school Odo Ona ibadan and Odo Ona High School Oluyole Ibadan after that I went to Federal Poly Bida I read Mass communication (ND)
I worked in Owena bank in Akure before I received the call of God. I thank God for being a Prophet and Actor.

My Journey into Acting as a Career

I started acting in 1989 from Mr. Ayo Ilori, and what motivated me was when I was in school I love acting I tried acting when I was in school through my friend Emmanuel Adejumo (Baba Sala’s son) in 1996 I joined Yoruba movie star (YMS) by Mr movie Alade Aromire..

Things were not all that robust

In the journey of life I faced many challenges in this profession my first shooting movie I wasted a lot of money, My Director and Actor collected money for a movie and they did not show up I have a lot to say but Thank God for today, with patient and encouragement you can get to the top in this industry. Today I’m the Deputy Governor of Tampan in Ogun State.

My Role Model In the Industry

I have people I considered as my role model. Ogun TAMPAN Governor is one of my role model Comrade Owolabi Ajasa, My Global President Otunba Bolaji Amusan (Mr Latin).

My First experience in acting

My first experience performing, well is not an easy task facing the crowd on stage but thank God for people that encouraged me on that day I cannot forget it in my entire life.

Prophet Baruwa Emmanuel Olatunde can then be said to be a great Actor that isn’t just known for his agility on set, he is a testament to his multifaceted talent and enduring presence in the entertainment industry. His works have stood the test of time, continuing to captivate his fans with their enduring appeal.
