Kamorudeen Olawale Yusuf, the Personal Assistant on Special Duties to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has denied allegations linking him to the harassment of Ogu people in the Geze area of Ado-Odo, Ogun State.

The presidential aide described the claims, which have been circulating on social media, as “deeply misleading and defamatory.”

In a swift rebuttal on Monday, Yusuf said he has no knowledge of, nor any connection with, any traditional or communal disputes in Ado-Odo, let alone being involved in harassment or oppression of any group.

The allegations, he said, were part of a calculated attempt to tarnish his reputation and incite ethnic tension.

The social media post alleged that Yusuf was working in collaboration with the Olofin of Ado-Odo to intimidate the Ogu people in the area .

He has, however, categorically dismissed the claim as false, irresponsible, and dangerous.

Yusuf stated “At no point in my public or private life have I ever been involved in acts of intimidation, harassment, or oppression.

“Let me be very clear: I have no involvement whatsoever in any traditional or communal dispute in Ado-Odo or anywhere else. I find it both disappointing and unacceptable that anyone would attempt to drag my name into matters I know absolutely nothing about.

“I have dedicated my life to public service, community development, and uplifting people through education, empowerment, and humanitarian support. At no point have I ever used my office or influence to intimidate, harass, or oppress anyone. Such allegations are baseless, false, and a gross misrepresentation of my character and values.

“Those behind this falsehood must desist immediately. I will not tolerate the malicious use of my name for political or ethnic narratives. If this continues, I will be left with no choice but to seek legal redress for defamation of character.

Yusuf reaffirmed his commitment to peace and unity in Ogun State and across Nigeria, emphasising that his service to the nation is rooted in inclusion, fairness, and respect for all ethnic groups.

He also expressed confidence that truth would ultimately prevail and that his name would not be tainted by politically motivated falsehoods.

Yusuf called on relevant authorities to look into the matter and ensure that those promoting falsehoods are held accountable to prevent a breakdown of peace in the area.
