The incident, which occurred on Saturday, July 12, has left residents of Glen View and Highfield in Zimbabwe, stunned.

According to reports, Amanda allegedly stormed into the Glen View 7 home of her ex-boyfriend, Linos Gapanga, 38, accompanied by five unidentified men.

“I was shocked to see Amanda walking in with five men. They said I had raped and impregnated her,” Gapanga told H-Metro. He claimed he was forcibly taken from his home, dragged into a black BMW (registration ACD 9485), while Amanda and the others followed in a Ford Ranger (registration ADG 3211).

The group reportedly transported him to Machipisa Pink Lodge in Highfield. There, three of the men allegedly assaulted Gapanga and forced him into a room where Amanda was waiting.

“They said I had to sleep with her without protection to remove some rituals,” Gapanga said, adding that after the act, the group left with his wallet containing US$142 and several bank cards.

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed Amanda’s arrest. “Police arrested a woman in connection with a kidnapping and robbery case in Highfield. The case involves ex-lovers and five other men.

The complainant sustained a swollen face, rib pains, and complained of a headache. He was referred to Sally Mugabe Hospital for treatment. Investigations are continuing,” he said.

The five male accomplices remain at large as investigations proceed.

Gapanga, who reported the matter immediately after he was released, is demanding justice. “I didn’t deserve what happened. I want those people to be arrested,” he said.

The bizarre case has drawn widespread attention on social media, with many expressing outrage over the assault and the alleged motive involving ritual cleansing
