It was gathered that the incident happened on Sunday, June 29, 2025 after his elder brother asked the deceased to dress up for an outing.

Eyewitness told Punch that when the incident happened in the night, a call was put across to the Vigilante Chairman in the layout, Mr Okolo, who visited the scene.

“The incident happened behind Nwodo estate in Ajaji layout. They called the vigilante Chairman to inform him. I went there with the vigilante Chairman, Mr Okolo, yesterday night, according to his elder brother who asked him to dress up for an outing. The brother was waiting for him, not knowing that his younger brother had entered the kitchen and stabbed himself,” the source said.

“The young man escaped poison last year. He was poisoned by an unknown; since then, he has been acting funny. Sometimes he will start shouting that people want to kill him but his brothers did not understand.”
