In a statement signed by the State Chairman of the Party, Otunba Femi Soluade, on behalf of the entire ADC coalition partners in Ogun state and Nigeria in general, called on Muslims all over the State to live up to the tenets of the Eid-el-Kabir by showing love to one another and being our brothers and Sisters keeper.

Otunba Soluade charged Muslims to remain faithful to their faith by shunning those things that run contrary to it.

He condemned the evils that currently plagued the society and blamed the elite for the worsening conditions of living among the citizenry.

The ADC state Chairman expressed dismay at the heightening insecurity in the country and advised security agencies to brace up to the situation and save Nigeria from unwarranted loss of precious lives through kidnapping, robbery and corruption.

“We can only move forward as a nation if we shunned corrupt practices, ethnicity, hate, and nepotism,” he admonished.

He called on all Nigerians not to despair in the face of growing inflation, high cost of living, insecurity and other anti-social factors confronting them, expressing strong conviction that at no distant date, Allah would intervene and show us mercy, while urging the people to pray for peace, unity and progress of the country.

“As you celebrate the Eid-ed-Kabir, I implore you to fervently pray for our dear Gateway state and country, Nigeria. Let the teachings of Prophet Muhammad guide our thoughts, deeds and dealings with one another.

“It is very important that we remain united and committed to the dreams and aspirations of our founding fathers.

“We must remember that we have no other country or state. Let our diversity be our strength; strength to love one another, strength to endure the current insecurity and economic crisis.”

Otunba Soluade further urged Muslims and all Nigerians to equally use this period to have deep and genuine spiritual reflection as well as imbibe generally the seminal teachings of Allah for the common good of the nation and humanity at large.

“Ogun ADC therefore calls on the rich not to fail to extend their hands of assistance to those who do not have among them, so that they will be part of this great celebration notwithstanding the present harsh economic condition in the country.

“The party moreover uses this opportunity to call on all Nigerians especially political leaders and others in various fields of human endeavours, to be altruistic and selfless, in the discharge of their responsibilities and general conducts, for the growth of our nationhood and the good of our society,” he said.
