Femi Adebayo, Chioma Akpotha win big at 2025 AMVCA

 

Chioma Akpotha, Gabriel Afolayan, and Femi Adebayo were among the winners at the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).

The annual event, which recognises outstanding performances in television, film, and entertainment, took place on Saturday night at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.

Akpotha and Adebayo won ‘Best Lead Actress’ and ‘Best Lead Actor’ respectively for their roles in ‘Seven Doors’.

Afolayan took home ‘Best Supporting Actor’, while Mercy Aigbe clinched ‘Best Supporting Actress’.

Nkem Owoh and Sani Mu’azu were also honoured with the Industry Merit Award, while Kayode Kasum received the Trailblazer Award.

The award ceremony featured thrilling performances from music stars and fast-rising including Johnny Drille, Fido, and Kunmie.
