Speaking during the event, Chairman of the NBA Yenagoa Branch, Barr. “The essence of this year’s theme is to drive quality leadership and ensure the strengthening of institutions. As ministers in the Temple of Justice, our role is to uphold the rule of law and promote justice in all spheres,” Barr. Johnbull stated.

In his remarks, Chairman of the Law Week Planning Committee, Barr. Iniro Wills, emphasized the critical role of the rule of law in fostering governance and development. He disclosed that a panel discussion titled “Driving Governance, Leadership and Development through Law” will feature notable legal minds and thought leaders who will explore the interplay between law and societal transformation.

A key highlight of the week-long programme is the plenary session, scheduled to take place on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the prestigious Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) Conference Hall. The keynote address will be delivered by His Excellency, Prof. Oluyemi Osinbajo, SAN, immediate past Vice President of Nigeria. He is expected to be joined by other distinguished speakers who will offer insights into addressing national challenges through legal and leadership frameworks.

Other major events lined up include the annual Law Dinner, which will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Chief D.S.P Alamieyeseigha Memorial Banquet Hall. A novelty football match and a corporate social responsibility outreach to children with special needs at an orphanage are also part of the Law Week activities.

The week’s events will conclude with a special Thanksgiving service on Sunday to appreciate the success of the programme and reaffirm the association’s commitment to justice and societal development.
