CUPP in a message signed by its Chairman, Otunba Dr Femi Soluade said because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, there is hope that all the challenges being faced by the people due to the actions of the government will surely be surmounted.

His words, “because Jesus Christ died and he has risen, that rekindled our faith of resurrection of every dried bones, businesses and family lives that has been badly affected by ineptitude government populated by some selfish few elements trusted by our votes to turn around the economy and the social lives of our state but has abandoned good governance to lining their pockets and favoring their immediate families, friends, appointees, business associates and cronies to the detriment of the populace.

Otunba Soluade urges all political parties not to be weary with current challenges, and not to engage in any unholy alliances describing it as a Greek gift, advising them to critically evaluate them.

He said that as a people, “we have the assurance of the reawakening henceforth of spiritual new order from God arisen from the blood of Jesus that was shed at Golgotha
(a place of bones) also called Calvary to provide us with a man after the heart of God in 2027 irrespective of where he comes from in the Ogun State through the participation of all political parties without pandering to unholy alliances.

“CUPP charges the government to retrospect its governance style and come to equity, fairness and justice in the allocation and distribution of general patrimony for the good development and progress of our state.

The Coalition also called on Prince Dapo Abiodun led government “to dust up its archive to peruse and enact the Security Summit Proposal submitted by IPAC led Asiwaju Lafeet Adedamola Leadership that was submitted but turned down in the last 4 years where systemic and water tight security initiatives as it is peculiar to our state was enumerated and recommendation made to curb shedding of innocent bloods for ritual killing, exhumation of grave yards to harvest human parts, robbery and cultism across the states and put on preemptive measures to ward off killers herdsmen incursion and kidnapping in Ogun State by deploying State Security votes judiciously.

CUPP also advised the government to create jobs, engage artisans, Small Medium Enterprise businesses and judiciously utilize internally generated revenue, federal allocations and agricultural grants with fairness devoid of favoritism especially to the core Farmers in need of seedlings and fertilizers to engender food abundance which will later led to the crashing of food prices and make it affordable to general public instead of perennial parochial tendencies of selfish patronage to only APC card carrying members.
