My next relationship will be private, BBNaija’s Beauty Tukura confirms split from Neo

Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate Beauty Tukura has confirmed that her relationship with fellow reality star Neo Akpofure has ended, stating that she intends to keep her next relationship private.

Speaking in an interview on Toke Moments, Beauty revealed that she is now single and referred to Neo as her “ex.”

“He is my ex, I’m single. We were Rihanna and A$AP when it lasted. It was a beautiful relationship when it lasted. I was happy being with him at the time,” she said.

The 26-year-old, however, did not disclose the cause of their breakup but stated that it was for a “valid” reason.

She added that she is currently focusing on herself and not interested in dating at the moment.

“I’m now focused on myself, I’m not interested in any man right now. At this point, I’m just waiting for my husband. Any man I’m posting next is going to be my husband.”

Beauty also explained why she now prefers to keep her relationships private, citing public scrutiny and external influences as challenges.

“I won’t date publicly like that anymore. A relationship is better when it is private because there is no extra opinion,” she said.

“But in a public relationship, we are plenty in it. His family, my family, and the whole world. Having the BBNaija fanbase also added pressure to the relationship; there is no privacy.”

She added that dealing with public expectations made it difficult for her to move on after the breakup.

“They are watching you and invested in the relationship, so it comes with a lot of pressure. You have to watch everything you do, how you talk about him.

“The pressure also takes an emotional toll on you. I just got out of a relationship. I’m trying to heal, but I’m reading the backlash, so at what point do I have time to heal and move on?”
