Reports said natives searched the river for the missing teenager but could not find him. His lifeless body was, however, found hours after, floating on the river and was retrieved.

It was learnt that the deceased could swim very well and that it was not his first time out with his friends in the river.

The friend who broke the news to the community said it appeared that something was dragging the deceased down in the water immediately he entered the river and they could not help him.

At the time of this report, the remains of the deceased have been buried beside the river in line with Isoko customs and tradition.
