The inaugural Cool Hopeful Cup will kickoff on Monday, 10th February, featuring an exciting opening match between Osogbo-based Elebuibon Boyz and FC Ebedei Juniors, at the FC Ebedei Stadium in Apele-Sagamu at 8:00 am.
The Cool Hopeful Cup, a preseason and scouting tournament, is funded by Ebedei Sports College.
“Let the play begin!” declares Tunde Shamsudeen, the Head of the Organizing Committee.
“The Cool Hopeful Cup is about more than just football; it’s about the idea that ‘Teamwork Makes The Dream Work’,” he adds.
Shamsudeen expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “Everyone is excited, and we are eagerly looking forward to the first match.
“We have made all the necessary preparations, and the conditions are perfect for the eight participating teams to showcase their abilities to European football scouts.”
In addition to the opening match, spectators can look forward to several other exciting fixtures on MatchDay 1.
Wonder change FC will take on The Lord’s Favour FA in the second game of the day at 10:00 am. The afternoon will feature B.E. Arena FC facing SDK FC, while the highlight match will be between FC Ebedei and AAYK FC by 4pm.
The Cool Hopeful Cup consists of two groups of four teams, with the top two teams from each group advancing automatically to the semi-finals.
