NWF Awards 2025: FC Robo Queens Wonder kid, Kemi Adegbuyi Receives Prostar Ball, Award Plaque After Emerging As NWF Awards POTW

FC Robo Queens forward Adegbuyi Oluwakemi was officially decorated as the Naija Women Football, NWF Awards, player of the week one, on Wednesday, 22nd January 2025 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Lagos.

Adegbuyi Oluwakemi who emerged as the best player of the week one, the opening round of matches in the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL Premiership season received the Award Plaques, Cash reward, one ball and T-Shirt courtesy of Prostar Sports Outfit, Lagos and First Mahi Investments, Owerri.

The decoration took place after Kemi Adegbuyi posted another superb performance in the week two encounter between Robo Queens and Adamawa Queens, which ended 2-1 in favour of the Lagos based team with Adegbuyi providing the winning goal assist.

Kemi expressed her delight after receiving the award and thanked the organiser and the sponsors of the NWF Awards as she looks forward to a great season in the league.

“I’m happy to win the award.It is not easy to be picked as the best among many good players in the league. This is a good motivation for me not to relent. I thank my teammates for making it easy for me, the organiser and the sponsors of the ward too for the recognition” said the diminutive sleeky winger after receiving the Award Plague and the Prostar Balls, and a jersey.

Adegbuyi Oluwakemi was the most outstanding player in the 2025 NWFL week 1 fixture on the Wednesday 15th of January 2025.

She gave her best when Robo Queens defeated Benue Queens 5-1 at the Lafia Stadium, scoring one and providing two assists in the match.

The NWF Awards will be rewarding the best player of the week in the league through the regular season, as well as the best player of the month, beat goal keeper of the month and best coach of the month.

There will also be an end of the season award gala to mark the end of the seasons as players, coaches and administration will be rewarded for the efforts.
