Chief Rumson Victor Baribote Esq told Salient Times Newspaper that his heart bleeds for Nigeria Football with the appointment of the new Super Eagles Coach is the highest disrespect for our local coaches, a situation where opportunity is given to an outsider to try his luck with the Super Eagles to make name for himself, this can also be given to any of our local coaches, and again since it is our belief that foreigners are the solution to our footballing problem in Nigeria, fine and good let us also shop for a foreign NFF President and give him a chance. If we must go for a foreign coach let’s go for the one with a name and experience that is far ahead of the ones we have here, that our local Coaches can also tap from him.
He explained that the issue of the new Coach with the B team should also be clearly defined he should go to the tournament to see if any of them can be integrated to the main team at the end of the tournament, the coaches who have prepared the team should be allowed to take glory or otherwise.That is my well articulated and considered views and opinion.
Baribote added that the problem is more with the Administration. Paddy paddy thing how Technical is the present Chairman of the Technical Committee of the NFF.
Victor revealed that Coaching is an integral part of the technical committee so one must be technically sound to head that department coaches recommendation for employment is directly the duty of the technical committee, I stand to be corrected.
He concluded that Sub committee’s of the NFF are to be headed by a board member of NFF save and except for the Disciplinary and Appeals Committee who are to be headed by legal minded persons.
