Ogun Amotekun to Graduate 690 New Recruits After Intensive Training

The Ogun State Security Network, code named Amotekun Corps, is announcing the graduation of 690 new recruits, after a successful completion of an intensive two-week training programme focused on operational efficiency, rule of law, intergovernmental relationship, weapon handling, and various security-relevant courses.

In a statement signed by Brig Gen Alade Adedigba ETF, the State Corps Commander of the Corps revealed that the graduation ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Ogun State Stadium in Sagamu on Saturday, 18 January 2025, starting promptly at 10:00 AM.

“This significant event will be graced by the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, who will serve as the reviewing officer and inspect the historic parade of the new recruits.

“This initiative is part of the Ogun State government’s ongoing commitment to enhancing security and public safety through well-trained personnel.

“The newly graduated recruits are expected to bolster the efforts of the Ogun Amotekun Corps in ensuring the safety and security of all residents and visitors within the State.

“Members of the public and the media are invited to witness this momentous occasion that marks a pivotal step towards strengthening community safety and peace in Ogun State.
