When countries in Africa gather for the CHAN Competition early next month, a referee from Nigeria will be part of the officiating team.
The referee, Kassim Abdusalam, from the Zamfara State Referees Council is among the shortlisted referees for the event.
After attending the Pre CHAN Preparations program, Abdusalam Kazzim will be among the officials to report from 1st to 28th February 2025.

WAFU B-U 17 in Ghana 2022
CECAFA U 17 in Ethiopia 2022
U 17 Nations Cup in Algeria 2023
U 23 Nations Cup in Morocco 2023
WAFU B-U 20 in Togo 2024
And Now CHAN in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania in 2025
He has also gone for many CAF games like Confederations Cup and Championship.
Abdusalam has the record of going for two separate tournaments back to back; U-17 and U-23. He has successful outings backed with excellent refereeing skills going for him.
The Fifa badged referee, a HND holder in Biochemistry who did his National Youth Service in Yikpata, Kwara State, hopefully will be use the bountiful experience garnered so far in refereeing art to be a good ambassador for the country and expectedly, will prove his mettle in the commity of referees in the continent.
