The Head coach of Makamz FA, Coach Oniye Mohammed has commended the National U20 Flying Eagles coach, Coach Aliyu Zubairu for his achievements so far both at club and National levels.
Coach Oniye, made the commendation while speaking with journalist at the draws ceremony of Coach Aliyu Zubairu U13 Kiddies Cup held at KFA, Ilorin on Tuesday.
Coach Mohammed Oniye who is the brainbehind the competition praised the El-kanemi Warriors gaffer’ for giving his consent to organize the tournament in his name.
He also noted that, the competition will serve as talent discovery, saying this cannot be achieved without the approval of Federation Cup winning coach.
In his remarks, Assistant coach of U20 Flying Eagles, coach Lukman Ijaya urged the participating teams to adhere strictly to the rules of the competition.
He enjoined them to take the advantage of the tournament to showcase their talents.
The personal Assistant to Coach Zubairu, Suleiman Abdullahi explained that the competition is also intended to give the grassroots coaches another platform to thrive and hailed his boss for giving back to the community.
The competition is expected is to produce thrilling and exciting contests as it also serve as a platform for talent discovery.
The tournament is scheduled to be held from 2nd-12th of January 2025.
