Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has outdone herself again as she smashes the box office records with her new film.

It is no longer surprising that Funke Akindele reigns supreme at the box office. For three times now, the mother of two reigned as queen over the box office.

Her movies, A Tribe Called Judah, Everybody Loves Jenifa, Battle On Buka Street, and Omo Ghetto The Saga sit respectively on the first to fourth on the table.

Speaking of Akindele’s victory, Film One notified Nigerians that the film had raked over 783 million, making it the second highest-grossing movie in Nigeria.

Identifying Funke Akindele as a big one in the industry, they urged everyone to continue watching the movie.

“Smashing records one day at a time!

Everybody Loves Jenifa is hitting it big this festive season! It has grossed over 783 million Naira at the box office. On Boxing Day alone, it made over 107 million Naira!

When you’re big, you’re big! Thank you for showing this movie and for your love and support.”

Recall also that Everybody Loves Jenifa hit over 100,000 dollars, making it the first Nigerian film to reach such a landmark.

A few weeks back, Funke had opened up about the hard times she had experienced before rising to stardom.

She shared a video of herself being active on the set of her highest-grossing billion-dollar movie, A Trībe Called Judah, as she counted herself as a testimony of believing in herself, saying she faced different challenges but learned to stand tall and encourage others because of them.

A few hours ago, Funke Akindele reported that her movie has grossed one hundred and ninety four thousand, five hundred and sixty dollars in diaspora.

She attributed her success to the God, her cast, colleagues and fans for being true to her.

“$194,560 and counting in just 8 days, Who else but God? Huge thanks to my tireless cast, fabulous colleagues, and unstoppable Jenifans, YOU are the true superstars.

I LOVE YOU ALL TO INFINITY AND BEYOND”
