Dr. Oladunni Olayinka, the Olu of Oke Ariko Sagamu, has rejoiced with the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, other traditional rulers and all the chiefs of Remoland over the maiden Remo Day which kicked off on Friday.

Dr. Olayinka, a prominent leader while hailing the festival emphasised its significant role in driving the cultural, social, and political development of the Remo land.

The culture icon has however tasked the people of Remo land to use the platform of the annual festival to cement the bond of unity among the various Remo communities and expand the frontiers of peace and prosperity of Remo land.

People of Remoland reflects his leadership vision and the importance he places on communal harmony and collective progress.

Olayinka said “It is with immeasurable joy and deep sense of pride and affection that I welcome the sons, daughters of Remoland and their friends and associates to colourful Remo Day festival.

“I must first rejoice with our father, the Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remo land, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, other traditional rulers and chiefs across Remoland on this auspicious occasion.

On this auspicious occasion of Remo Day 2024, I celebrate your exemplary leadership, unwavering dedication to the progress of Remoland, and commitment to preserving the rich cultural heritage of your people.

“Your reign continues to be a beacon of peace, unity, and prosperity, fostering growth and harmony across your domain.

“The festival is well thought out because of its cultural reawakening power and potentials to impact on the robustness of the economy of Remo land. It is also a platform that could be use to strengthen our bond of unity which is vital to our progress and unhindered growth.

“I sincerely laud Oba Babatunde Ajayi for the birth of this noble idea, it is something that will soon register Remo land on world map and it is going to be an event that people can always look towards to attending in December, catch some fun and be entertained”.

“On this note, I recognize the invaluable contributions of the distinguished chiefs of the Akarigbo in Council, whose wisdom and support has further the vision of development and cultural preservation under your reign

Alaiyeluwa, may your majesty’s reign be long, prosperous, and filled with blessings, and may Remoland continue to thrive under your guidance.

Oloke, as he is popularly called serves as example of effective leadership, demonstrating how living in unity among diverse groups within a community can lead to progress.
