Member Representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Reformatory Institutions,
Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah,
has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the appointment of Nwakuche Sylvester Ndidi as the new Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service.

Hon. Ogah described the President as a steadfast advocate for the federal character principle.

Ogah further commended the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his dedication, commitment, and outstanding work in the ministry. He also expressed gratitude towards the outgoing Controller-General for his cooperation with correctional officers and efforts to improve the welfare of inmates.

He further encouraged the newly appointed Controller-General to foster strong relationships between staff and inmates, Ogah urged the new CG to draw upon his expertise and knowledge to ensure best practices are upheld within the Nigerian Correctional Service.

Ogah stressed the importance of prioritizing the welfare of inmates and maintaining a high standard of professionalism across all aspects of service.
