Nigerian football legend Peter Rufai has praised Godwin Adode, the newly appointed Chairman of the Delta State Football Association, for his outstanding achievements within months of assuming office.
Rufai, who had an illustrious career with the Super Eagles and European clubs, commended Adode’s vision and dedication to developing football talent in Delta State.
Since taking office, Adode has implemented brilliant initiatives to promote grassroots football, boost infrastructure development and enhance the state’s football competitiveness.
His efforts have yielded positive results, including the successful organization of the state league Super 8 tournament and strengthening partnerships with stakeholders.
Rufai expressed his admiration for Adode’s accomplishments, stating, “Godwin Adode has brought a fresh perspective to Delta State football. His passion, energy and strategic approach are admirable.
The Delta state league Super 8 tournament was a resounding success, and the ongoing development plans which include preparation of soccer seminar for coaches and players is impressive.”
