He praised Olopade’s understanding of the Sports terrain and his contributions to sports development in Nigeria.

“He is someone who understands the terrain and has contributed immensely in kind and cash to sports development in this country without expecting any return. With him as NSC Director General, there’s no gainsaying that tremendous and rapid development is certain in Nigeria Sports.

Otunba Gabriel also commended President Tinubu for choosing the right person for the job, saying it shows the president’s interest in giving Nigerian sports a “suitable face-lift”.

“My sincere Kudos goes to Mr. President for choosing Honourable Olopade to occupy that sensitive position. This simply means Mr. President is interested in giving Nigeria Sports a suitable face-lift. Otunba Gabriel concluded

Since assuming office, Honourable Olopade has already taken steps to improve the Nigerian sports industry. This development is expected to bring about tremendous and rapid growth in the sector.
