The head of The Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Nigeria, His Most Eminence Baba Alakoso Dr. Clement Taye Olatunji Olagoke, JP, has said that the decision of the Church to reconstitute a new board of trustee is in line with the directives of the Economic And Financial Crime Commission, EFCC.
Speaking in Lagos recently on the True Position of The Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Nigeria, he said after renewing the Church Certificate with the Corporate Affairs Commission CAC and maintaining certificate number 324,the EFCC told us that all the Church account with The Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Nigeria must be updated with the new registered certificate in the database of all banks in Nigeria”.
He added that the commission also directed that a copy of the new certificate, and tin number with a letter of introduction signed by any of the two Trustees of the church must be deposited with the EFCC for a proper identification against money laundering.
Baba Alakoso said that,” The new policy is a major control measure to bring the Church together as one family and this become necessary because after the demise of the Most Elder Apostle J.O Sonde the Baba Alakoso who is also one of the registered trustee of the church, we left with only two Trustees in which one had also passed on leaving the Church with only one Trustee recognized by the Corporate Affairs Commission CAC i.e.Baba Alakoso Dr Clement Taye Olatunji Olagoke JP.
Baba Alakoso therefore found it imperative to upgrade registered trustee of the Church, I found it imperation to upgrade and appoint new trustee which was ratified by the highest ruling body of the church”
He said after so many trials and blockages from those outside the fold, a new set of trustees were approved and a new certificate issued by the C.A.C. ‘It was observed that some are claiming to be Scared but not known to us hence we need to inform the EFCC to check such so that the name of the church will not be soiled by Fraudsters”
Continuing he said the new board through the Lawyer inform the commission to place embargo on any church using the name without clearance and anybody or bodies parading themselves as member of the board aside the new ones will be handed over to the EFCC for questioning
