The remains of Taoreed Lagbaja, late chief of army staff (CAOS), have arrived Abuja ahead of his burial scheduled for Friday.
The remains arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 12:16 pm on Thursday.
Funeral proceedings will begin today with a service of songs at the Army Headquarters Garrison Parade Ground, Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja.

On Friday, a funeral service will be held at the National Christian Centre, after which Lagbaja will be laid to rest at the military cemetery.
The late CAOS died in Lagos on November 5 following an undisclosed Illness.
