In a press statement signed by Romanus Uzor Ozioko, Special Assistant to the Senate Deputy Chief Whip.
(Media and Publicity) noted that
during the Technical Session, Senator Nwebonyi shared his considered opinions on the best ways to foster unity, interactions, collaborations and bilateral relations among the African nations.

He averred that the African continent needs robust economic integration, common internet server, unhindered visa and joint security networking to boost bilateral relations, curb the menace of insecurity and advance the development of the continent.

The Conference of Speakers and Presidents of African Legislatures was established in 2020 with a mandate to forge a common front for the advancement of Africa’s development. This 2nd General Assembly of COSPAL ratified the re-election of the current Speaker of the Parliament- Rt Hon S. Bangbil and equally appointed two Nigerians into the Management cadres.

The two Nigerians that clinched two positions into COSPAL are the Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria – Femi Gbajabiamila who’s elected into the Advisory Committee of the Conference of Speakers and Presidents of African Legislatures and the SSA to the President on International Cooperation- Dapo Adewole who emerged the Secretary General of the body.

Senator Nwebonyi is meticulously building bridges across the African continent and even beyond. He is unarguably a personification of effective representation and robust legislation.
