Kaduna man drags niece, sister in-law to court for intimidating his wife

One Shehu Usman on Monday September 30th dragged his niece and sister in-law Hauwa’u Muhammad and Jamila Kasim respectively to a Shari’a court sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna State over alleged intimidation of his wife.

The defendants are being charged with intent insult, intimidation and trespass.

Mr Usman, a resident of Unguwan Shanu area of Kaduna, said that the duo entered his wife’s room, insulted her and threatened to beat her up.

He prayed the court to grant him justice.

The defendants, who are married women, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Judge, Anas Khalifa, granted bail to the defendants on the condition that they provide a community leader in their community as surety.

Khalifa ordered the complainant to present witnesses on October 16 for the prosecution of the defendants.
