Kate took to her X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday to share the unusual and shocking direct message she received from a fan, who asked her for a staggering N35 million.

She wrote, “There must be a thought process that goes through people’s minds that I can’t fathom.

“How do you send a DM to someone and ask for N35 million? How? Why? If you can’t afford what you want, why not wait till you can or defer until you’ve saved enough? Stop it! Just stop!!”

Her followers, equally shocked by the bold request, expressed their reactions in the comment section.

One user, identified as Blaze (@johnnyblaze), commented, “Aunty Katie, please run from such requests oh. I’ve learned that many people invest heavily in stocks, then resort to begging until the returns come in.

“Sadly, when they do get their returns, they won’t remember you. Happy weekend, Aunty Katie.”

Another follower, Lawal Damilola, remarked, “N35 million? Nah! That’s crazy.”

Similarly, Dr. Faruk chimed in, saying, “The person should go back and meet their baba. N35 million what?

“Funny enough, I got a message yesterday from someone asking for N2.5 million. The guy really believes in me because I don’t even know where I’d find that kind of money.”
